Lambuth University Welcomes New Director of University Relations

Jackson, Tenn., March 15, 2010

Lambuth University is pleased to announce the hiring of a new Director of University Relations. Beginning Monday, March 15, 2010, Mickey Goodwin will oversee all University Relations for the school.

"Lambuth University is very fortunate to have found someone with the talent and experience of Mickey Goodwin. These qualities with her strong local knowledge will enable the University to move forward quickly in the areas of marketing and communications," said President Dr. Bill Seymour, Lambuth University President.

Mickey has an extensive background in broadcast journalism and public relations. She graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Valdosta State University in 2001. She spent several years working for local ABC affiliate WBBJ-TV and more recently the West Tenn Diamond Jaxx.

"I am thrilled to join the Lambuth family this week! Many great things are in store for Lambuth University. Everyone has done an excellent job of making me feel right at home. I cannot wait to let the community know what our school is all about!" said Mickey.

Mickey resides with her husband in Jackson and is heavily involved in the West Tennessee community. She is a 2009 graduate of Leadership Jackson and serves as a board member for the March of Dimes while also being involved with the American Cancer Society and American Heart Association.
