Academics

truth2736smAt Lambuth University faculty teach all classes—not teaching assistants, not graduate students, not lab assistants. Faculty lead students on their journey to success. The University’s 11:1 student-to-faculty ratio supports Lambuth’s longstanding reputation for person-centered education. Classes rarely exceed 25 students, and 77 percent of classes have fewer than 20 students, with many having fewer than 15. Faculty at Lambuth play many roles—from professor to academic advisor to personal mentor. While contributing in many ways to the environment that Lambuth students refer to as “family,” faculty continually strive to provide the highest quality education to Lambuth students.

Along with their teaching roles, Lambuth faculty place equal emphasis on academic advising. During the 1980s the Lambuth faculty voted to make teaching and advising equal responsibilities.

Continually, faculty work one-on-one helping students find majors, register for classes, alter courses of study and ensure the completion of all graduation requirements. In other words, faculty advisors listen, lead, guide and direct.
