Developing a Name for Lambuth's 3-Year Strategic Plan

As Sarah Clement discussed in her book the period of transition from Memphis Conference Female Institute (MCFI) to the development of a college, she provides some key concepts that give inspiration to the creation of a vision for Lambuth University even today:
p. 74 A report of the Conference Board of Education stated: "The school at Jackson is a promise - a promise that we pray, may speedily become a reality. No bigger blessing can come to us as a conference and to our educational interests ... than the early realization of our idea and ideal of an A-grade college here."
p. 91 During the first decade there were other faculty members who, although their stay was comparatively short, contributed much to the establishment and ongoing of the college. They, too, were "architects of fate working in the walls of time" to construct a college that would be worthy of its primary aim - to promote "whatsoever things are true."

- We all will need to be architects busy at building the Lambuth University we desire.
- The goals and objectives of this strategic plan will lay a strong foundation upon which greater victories will be achieved.
- Architects are successful because they are experts at developing and following an intentional and purposeful design; and so shall we.
- Given its grand history and the devotion of all those who care about this school, Lambuth University holds great promise to regain its place among the finest institutions of its kind.
- Our greatest promise is to our past, current and future students - providing a quality educational experience that builds stronger and more faithful men and women.
- A promise is a pledge - a commitment we make to do our very best work to fulfill the mission of Lambuth University.
